Kingsand Bay (3.1 miles)
© KevsphotosLike neighbouring Cawsand, Kingsand is a small, shingle beach that gets some shelter from Picklecombe Point to the east, and Penlee Point to the west. There are shops and pubs in the village and excellent walking on the nearby Rame Head.

Cawsand Bay (3.3 miles)
© Crispin Purdye | BY-SAThe twin villages of Cawsand and Kingsand sit across the Tamar from Plymouth, fringing the southern end of a three mile bay. There are east facing sand and shingle beaches sheltered by Rame Head Peninsula and offering views over Plymouth Sound.

Tregonhawke Beach (Whitsand Bay) (3.2 miles)
© Richard Law | BY-SATregonhawke is part of a three mile stretch of sand known as Whitsand Bay, considered by many to be East Cornwall's finest beach. Popular with surfers, despite dangerous rip currents, access to the beach at Tregonhawke involves steep steps. Tregonhawke is the headquarters of the Whitsand Bay Surf Lifesaving Club.
