Goring Beach (Goring By Sea)
The beach at Goring-by-Sea your classic West Sussex beach; a long stretch of pebbles and shingle separated by wooden groynes mark the high tide mark. Beyond this is an expanse of flat sand.
To the rear of the beach is a large grassy area which is separated from the beach by a narrow paved area that runs from the Sea Lane Cafe to Worthing. Much of this path is lined with traditional wooden beach huts.
Unlike some of its south coast neighbours Goring has avoided many of the tackier seaside town developments. Instead of amusement arcades you are more likely to find fishing boats pulled up on Goring beach.
The backdrop is the small town of Goring, with the part directly behind the beach having very much a suburban feel. It’s a short walk into the town centre where you will find shops, cafes and a train station.

Goring Beach Reviews
Our dogs loved it!
Nicola Thomas
Nov 28th 2020Lovely beach and great for letting the dogs have a good run.
Room for all

Oct 23rd 2020A spacious beach with room for all activities. Yes it gets busy at peak times but so does everywhere else. Great cafe at Sea Lane but otherwise unspoilt.

May 18th 2022I thought the beach was nice. I saw no dog poo at all.

Jun 16th 2023Use to be lovely…like one of the comments said, to many dogs off leach, everywhere, smelly, most weekends, rubbish left behind. Cars parked halfway on pavements.
Very unclean and unpleasant beach with little facilities. Stenches of dog faeces, litter. Don’t waste your time here - go somewhere cleaner and more enjoyable.
Too many irresponsible dog owners
Ben
Jun 01st 2020Too many dogs (not on leads) with irresponsible owners letting them run around young children.
