Norfolk Road Beach (Littlehampton)
Norfolk Road is a predominantly shingle beach a short walk from the bustling seaside resort of Littlehampton. However, towards low tide an extensive area of sand is revealed. Norfolk Road is probably best known for the brightly-coloured beach huts positioned along the top of the beach.
The beach here is located directly in front of the harbour town of Littlehampton, a well-developed resort, with a pier, a promenade and a good variety of activities. The harbour area, with its excellent riverside promenade, is home to the iconic Look & Sea Centre, which has a good viewing tower and a restaurant serving locally-caught seafood. Boat and ferry services operate from the harbour.
Norfolk Gardens on the promenade has miniature golf, tennis courts and a miniature train which runs to Mewsbrook Park. At the mouth of the River Arun, Harbour Park provides a variety of seaside amusements including arcades, a rollercoaster and a log flume.
There are plenty of footpaths in the area, including walks to nearby Arundel and Amberley.
