East Preston Beach
East Preston beach is one of the lesser visited beaches along this stretch of West Sussex coast. It follows the familiar format of beaches in this part of the world of pebbles and groynes above the tide mark and then an expanse of compacted sand when the tide is out. In essence, the beach is very similar to Littlehampton, Goring and Worthing as it is all part of the same stretch. However, East Preston rarely gets busy.
The reason for East Preston’s relative obscurity is the lack of nearby parking. Backed by a small caravan park and some rather well-to-do Edwardian villas, there isn’t really anywhere to park when seasonal restrictions come into force.
On the beach you’ll find a kiosk selling snacks and the local sailing club. Beyond that there aren’t a great deal of facilities. The beach is dog-friendly all year round though so this helps keep the numbers up.
