  • The mile long sand and shingle beach at Littlehampton is everything you would expect from a long established seaside resort. There is a promenade, amusements, theme park, well maintained seafront gardens and even the UK’s longest bench. Yes, there is a 1,000 feet long bench running along Littlehampton’s seafront.

As a regular contender for the coveted Blue Flag award Littlehampton Beach has no shortage of facilities to hand. It is also patrolled by RNLI Lifeguards during the summer months and a Kidcare wristband scheme operates to make the beach super safe for families.
To further consolidate the beach’s family credentials is the perfect sandcastle-making sand that is revealed as the tide goes out.

A very nice beach and had a very nice day.
But one lady thought she had the right to shout at us as we were standing 1m behind her looking for a place to sit.
Right after we moved 2 ladies came and sat 0.5m beside her. We were Asian they were not.
I thought it was absolutely rude as she obviously doesn’t know how covid is passed on, she was sitting facing the sea when we were behind, not that close and not facing her. At the end of the day she could’ve passed covid onto us as she was shouting in our faces.

Very Popular with the coaches in the summer.
    Shingle beach
    Good amusement arcade, and cafes
Harvester very busy in the Summer, but good food.
Beach Lifeguards on duty during summer.
Love the Beach area, its the only bit the Council haven’t buggered up in their attempts to improve Littlehampton.

Be aware of the strong/dangerous Current: I couldn’t find any web site that warns about this and yet there are signs all over the Beach.
It is a nice Beach though.
