Shepherd's Chine Beach

Shepherd’s Chine is one of a series of beaches along Brighstone Bay on the south west coast of the Isle of Wight.
A chine is a geological feature common on this stretch of coast and consists of a river valley that has been cut into the soft cliffs leading to the sea.
Shepherd’s Chine is easier to get down to than some of the others along this stretch as the valley is quite shallow and the steps are still in good condition.
