Abereiddy Bay

Abereiddy Bay is a small, sheltered beach, a little less than 100 meters wide, made up of sand and shingle, offering excellent views of the surrounding wild coastline, headlands, and Abereiddy Bay.

Thanks to its sheltered location, and clean water, the beach is a popular spot for swimming. Rockpools are to be found along the beach at low tide and can offer entertainment to children who can have hours of fun here looking for signs of marine wildlife.

Abereiddy is also a popular spot for walkers, with the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path passing the beach. A short walk to the north of the beach is the so-called blue lagoon, where clubs organise jumps from the rocks into this cold, and deep, former quarry. Even for those not wanting to take part, the spectacle can be fun to watch.

A large car park can be found right behind the beach, which can be accessed by a short walk across the shingle. An ice cream van can usually be found next to the car park during the summer months. The beach has public toilets, but due to its remote location, there are no other facilities at the beach itself, although there are places to stay in the hamlets and villages nearby.
