Jersey Marine - West Beach (Crymlyn beach)

This is a long, wide, sandy beach, particularly at low tide, nestled in between the mouth of the River Neath and Swansea. However, it is not wise to wander too far out onto the exposed sand as it can get muddy, and the tide can come in quickly.

The main attraction of the beach is that it is backed by a large sand dune system with a wide variety of flora and fauna, particularly in the summer months.

Swansea University Bay Campus is adjacent to the western end of the beach. Here, facilities such as shops, cafes, and toilets can be found. 

With no seasonal dog restrictions Jersey Marine beach is popular with dog walkers.
