Littlestone Beach
The wide beach at Littlestone is largely shingle above the shoreline with wooden groynes disappearing into the sea. However, when the tide goes out a vast expanse of rippled sand is revealed.
To the back of the beach are a number of coloured beach huts beyond which is a large grassy area.
Littlestone beach makes a good / quieter alternative to neighbouring beach at Dymchurch which is virtually guaranteed to be busy during the summer.
There are a few facilities in the village across the road.

Littlestone Beach Reviews
Loss of beautiful Littlestone Beach
Sarah Temple
Jul 28th 2024Since the loss of the old breakwaters which have been replaced by shingle, the lovely beach where our family used to play for years opposite the end of Madeira Road facing the sea has now become a blackened mud flat. The shingle has blocked the drainage along Coast Drive so that the road is now almost impassable.
Perfect
Lovely and quiet sandy beach when the tide is going out. We arrived just at the end of slack water and it was all shingle, but within 15mins we were building sandcastles. Lots of water sports to observe. Close to a play park for the children and a pleasant park for picnic-ing in. Parking is pricey, as all of east Kent, £1.20/h. There is parking on the road.
