Traeth Yr Eifl Beach (West End)

Traeth Yr Eifl is definitely one for the scenery with a backdrop of Yr Eifl - the last mountain in the Snowdonia range which rises 564 metres from the coast. Towards the middle of the beach, and close to Trefor village, the beach is backed by a low, grassy slope. However, as you head south this rises up to become dramatic, towering craggy cliffs.
The beach of Traeth Yr Eifl itself is largely made up of pebbles, although there are a few sandy areas. It is a fair size, but often empty with visitors tending to sit on the grass above the beach.
Traeth Yr Eifl is about a 5 minute walk from the village of Trefor, and this provides the only (limited) facilities in the area.
