Porth Iago Beach
The sandy little west-facing cove of Porth Iago is one of the best to be found on the Llyn Peninsula. Flanked by the low grassy headlands of Dinas and Graig Ddu the beach here is fairly sheltered making it a great spot for a dip in the clear blue waters.
The rocks on the northern side of the beach are a popular spot for fishing and bass can be caught here.
Porth Iago is accessible from one of the newest sections of the Wales Coast Path via a scramble down the dunes. The other access is via a private farm track leading to the car park, although this has been closed from time to time.
Overlooking the beach is an ancient hill fort lookout
