Clean and stunning and safe with lots of lifeguards. Dolphins and seals can be seen in the sea.

Sandhaven is a beautiful stretch of beach which cleaned and swept every day in the season. Good toilet facilities and you can park right next door to beach. There’s restaurants just beside beach as well as ‘ Minchellas’  kiosk which serves ice creams, snacks, coffee etc - this is popular all year round. There are RNLI lifeguards patrolling the beach in season. A first class beach with lovely soft clean sand.

I have travelled far and wide but never seen such beauty as sunset in South Shields watching a school of dolphins very close to the shore with incoming tide, obviously feeding.
The air and water quality is 5 star found food and drink a bit pricey at the top venues but self catering amazingly cheap “ASDA” et al.
Worth a bit of planning as so much to see and do

good beach because food and water very nice what a beach sea is cold though but surely it might get hotter cos of the moon and hot. Colemans is very fishy as it sells fishy chips and mushy peas and currys sauce. I love this beach no.1 in da world what a place down with the mags and north shields up the black cats and the mariners.Anyway back to the beach it is golden and the dunes are cool. however sand is annoying when it gets stuck in your toes and I have to waste lots of shower water on my toes but the sea is very cool. Parking is good and not expensive.
