  • Watwick Bay is a small east-facing beach at the mouth of Milford Haven. It is set on the remote and narrow peninsula leading to St Annes Head.

The beach is rather steep and is made up mostly of sand. In the summer months the beach gets the best of the sun due to its favourable position although it does tend to get a little shady later in the day.

Towards the eastern end of the beach are a few caves and some great rock pools to explore.

Due to its location in a sheltered bay Watwick is a good spot for windsurfing and sailing. However, these same waters around the bay are the stuff of legend and it is claimed that many a shipwreck has occurred here over the years.

The beach here has little in the way of facilities with the village of Dale, around a mile away, providing somewhere to eat and a shop.

If you are also looking for a secluded spot to spend the day away from the crowds in other areas like Tenby then Watwick Bay is a great choice.
