Norton Road Beach (Swansea Bay)
This is one of the various beaches which can be found around the sand and mud flats of Swansea Bay. The beach at Norton Road is a mix of sand, shingle and mud, backed by sea defences.
There are some car parking spaces along the A4067 (Mumbles Road) to the south of the beach, and there are a choice of places to eat and drink within a few minutes’ walk.
The nearby ruins of Oystermouth Castle, with its 30-foot high glass-bottomed bridge, are worth a visit if you’re in the area. The castle is open from the beginning of April until the end of September.
