Langland Bay
Looking for a safe and pleasant family-friendly beach, sheltered from prevailing onshore winds? It’s a popular choice for water sports enthusiasts, particularly surfers, who know the sea here for its varied breaks.
Langland Bay is relatively rocky in places and sandy in others. There are plenty of rock pools to explore, as well as a small but attractive promenade offering good access for wheelchair users. There’s also a ramp allowing easy access to the beach itself. At the back of the promenade there are beach huts, cafes, cliffs, and a golf course. There are outdoor showers and tennis courts available for hire.
The beach stretches as far as Rotherslade Bay, although high tide separates the two. There is a Lifeguard service from the May Day bank holiday to the start of September between 10am and 6pm.
This beach has toilet facilities, parking, and refreshments, and dogs are not allowed from May to the end of September. There are two large car parks, and bear in mind that reaching the location can require navigating rather windy roads.
Langland Bay has been a regular recipient of Blue Flag status.
