Also known as Black Rock Beach, Newton Bay is located just east of Porthcawl. A long sand and rock beach backed by the very extensive and scientifically interesting Newton Burrows and Merthyr Mawr sand dunes.

Newton Bay stretches from Newton Point to the mouth of the River Ogmore.

Popular for walking, horse riding, windsurfing and kitesurfing.

Been going to Newton Beach and the local dunes for over 40 years. Recently bought a kayak, if you get the tide and wind right its perfect for new kayakers also swimming and paddle boards. Great place with a nice pint available just up the road on the green.

Great beach for walking dog, plenty of space, car parking (chargeable).
