Llantwit Major Beach
This pebble and rock beach has some patches of sand and is backed by cliffs. The terrain can be difficult for those with mobility problems as the rocks are often quite slippery.
Llantwit Major beach is popular with dog walkers and families who come here to hunt for crabs and other marine wildlife in the rockpools. There are also some fossils to be seen here among the strata of the cliff face.
From the beach there are views across the Bristol Channel, towards Minehead and Exmoor.
There is a free car park here and a beach café selling food, drink and souvenirs, with a separate toilet block.

Feb 15th 2021Brilliant beach on the Heritage Coast. Lovely day out and within easy reach of the towns of Cowbridge and Barry if you want to make a weekend of it. Can’t wait to go back.

Feb 15th 2021Best beach in the world!
Stunning location
A Jurassic coast beach which is part of the heritage coast. The beach is mostly rock and stone but has a lovely beach cove which is popular with families. The beach has cliff top walks on both side with breathtaking views.
There is a lifeguard station, toilets, ample parking and an excellent beachfront cafe. We often get a coffee and sit on the rocks watching the surfers
Such an amazing beach. Something for everybody
nothing special here.

Jul 14th 2023once you have dodged the surfers to find parking you will wonder what to do.Beach is all rocks,to have a walk you have to climb steep paths up the cliffs. You can watch the sea until bored and have a cup of tea from the cafe or an ice cream, cafe is actually not bad.
