Great Yarmouth Beach (South)
South Beach in Great Yarmouth is the generous stretch of sand to the between Wellington Pier and the new outer harbour at the mouth of the River Yare. On a sunny day it is quite a pleasant spot with the sand dunes behind and fine sand. When the sun isn't out you may start to notice the surroundings a little more, including the more industrial look to the southern end.
South beach is never as crowded as Great Yarmouth's Central beach and is a good get-away spot in that respect.Everything is still within easy walking distance.
Part of the beach is backed by Great Yarmouth's Pleasure Beach with its roller coaster and Scenic Railway. Despite having been open for over a hundred years and feeling a bit tatty around the edges the Pleasure Beach is still Great Yarmouth's most popular attraction bringing in a whopping one million visitors per year.
