Tra na Rossan Beach (Tranarossan)
Set among the towering green hills of the Rosguill Peninsula, Tra na Rossan is a beautiful and wild beach. This is one of Donegal’s more secluded beaches and as a result is completely unspoilt.
The lush greenery of the countryside spills down to the golden sand beyond which is the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. Being soremote and exposed swimming at Tra na Rossan is not recommended.
Some of the best views of Tra na Rossan come from the Atlantic Drive as it winds its way around the peninsula. The road takes quite a high line past the bay giving spectacular, sweeping views over the sands and beyond.
