Crakaig Beach

This lovely sandy beach backed by low sand dunes and fields is set on the remote north west coast of Scotland. This whole section of the Sutherland coast is one big stretch of golden sands. What makes Crakaig stand out from the rest of the coast is the fact is a designated, official naturist beach.
This makes Crakaig mainland Scotland\‘s only official nudist beach (or at least parts of it). The naturist part of the beach is to the west of Lothbeg Point - from the river mouth, up to the rocky outcrop near the point. By the river there is a pool big enough to swim in.
The owner of the beach also runs the campsite behind. Whilst this isn’t a naturist camp there have been special naturist weeks in June.
