Perelle Bay

Perelle Bay is located towards the western end of Guernsey, next to the bigger, and better-known Vazon Bay.

At high tide the beach is mostly pebbles, but as the tide drops away an area of sand and rocks is revealed. These are home to a good number of rock pools.

Behind the beach is the little town of Perelle which is home to a number of shops including a supermarket on the seafront.

Facing west means the beach not only gets a good sunset but picks up plenty of Atlantic swell. In fact the reefs offshore here are some of the best surf on the island and are regarded as something of a big wave spot.
