Ladies Bay

Sitting on the edge of the wild beauty of L’Ancresse Common, Ladies Bay is well known as a family friendly destination in the area. However, this beach is also popular with wind and kitesurfing enthusiasts whose idea of a relaxing day on the beach is a bit more extreme than sunbathing and building sandcastles
The large, sandy beach is the perfect spot to prepare for a dip in the water or to get ready to take on a windsurfing course, with local instructors offering classes for beginners, intermediates and experts.
When the tide goes out even more of the beach is exposed, oftentimes leaving behind plenty of sea creatures and interesting shells to admire.
If all that exertion has worked up an appetite, there are several cafes and restaurants nearby to grab a bite to eat before heading back onto the water. The beach’s proximity to the common also ensures that plenty of walks and coastal footpaths are available to visitors.
