Sandbanks Harbour Beach is to the north side of the famous sandbanks peninsula (inside Poole harbour), one of the most expensive places to buy property in the entire UK. The beach overlooks the beautiful natural harbour and Browsea Island, making it a perfect place to sunbathe and relax. Clean water, good facilities and plenty of sand sloping gently into the harbour.
The beach has a long and wide expanse of sand during low tide, but almost disappears as the tide draws in.

Being located on the harbourside it is no surprise there are a large variety of waterbased activities on offer such as windsurfing, sailing and paddle boats. There is also a swimming only zone and lifeguards on duty during the summer season.
The East Dorset sailing club is located at the northern end of the beach which is often scattered with small sailing boats.

Out of the water there is plenty going on too, even crazy golf. In summer a mini-train takes passengers up and down the promenade.

There is parking along Banks Road and shore road adjacent to the beach which has direct access. There are plenty of facilities in the area including shops and restaurants.

A regular bus service runs from Poole city centre to the beach all year round.
