Wonwell Sands
A sandy beach within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated on the east bank of the river Erme and the Erme estuary, the beach joins up with Meadowsfoot (Mothecombe) at low tide.
There is nothing in way of facilities at Wonwell and parking is limited. It is generally better to explore the beach from neighbouring Mothecombe when the tide is out.

Sep 09th 2019A beautiful beach, accessable at all stages of the tide by either the slipway,or the coastal path.
There are no facilities at the beach,so if you use the beach please be prepared to remove all your rubbish,as there are no waste bins.
The beach is only marred by the occasional idiots that park in the turning circle. and some dog owners that think it’s ok to leave bags of dog waste, instead of taking it home.
Parking is a nightmare on nice days,as there is only on road parking, and the access road is very narrow,so be prepared sometimes for a long walk to the beach.

Dec 30th 2022This is a beautiful, unspoilt beach on the last unspoilt river estuary in Southern England. Access is awkward and parking limited. Please take all litter/rubbish away with you.
