    Branscombe Beach Reviews

Great beach but mind the depth of water due to shelves

Have visited this beach for many years , usually after a walk from the car park up over the hill, along the coastal path and down to the beach . Great for swimming in clear water and rarely busy . Be careful to remember the sea depth can be very deep after a few steps in due to shelving . Would not recommend for youngsters or weak swimmers as no lifeguards if you get into difficulty .

Beautiful Beach & Trek to Beer head

Loved the beautiful shingle beach of branscombe. Extraordinary views

If you plan to trek to beer head please make sure you estimate 1 hour extra at the beach parking so that you don’t overstay .

The trek requires a certain level of fitness .. please wear outdoor shoes… the route can get quite slushy

Branscombe beach is an ideal base for family sea kayaking and the children to go rock pooling. We highly recommend this beach The Sea Shanty is also a great spot for ice creams and wine.

    Don’t go

Spent a lovely afternoon here, only to receive a £100 fine by post as we had overstayed by 20 minutes. Don’t mind paying extra but £100!??? Very
    Unfriendly.
