Tresaith Beach
The pretty little resort of Tresaith sits in a sheltered bay between Aberporth and Penbryn. The name comes from the River Saith which cascades down the cliffs and on to the sandy beach below. Apparently the little waterfall was created by a glacier blocking the course of the River Saith many millennia ago.
Tresaith beach is a great spot for families and the Blue Flag award reflects the range of facilities on offer. These include a shop, cafe, the Ship Inn pub and public toilets - all within a stone’s throw of the beach. There are also plenty of rock pools to explore at either end of the beach.
Tresaith is a popular location for a range of water sports; it can be a good surfing beach but it is most popular for sailing with a well established club and slipway.
There is a smaller beach just around from the waterfall at the northern end of the beach. However, keep an eye on the tide as it is only possible to access (and get back) when the tide is out.

Tresaith Beach Reviews
Beatiful Coved Beach
John
Jul 21st 2020Tresaith beach is set in a beatiful little cove, with lovely golden sand and shallow entry into the clear water.
Could be lovely

Jun 04th 2024Could be a lovely beach, but people had dogs off lead, no rules , running around with small children playing and basically using as a dog toilet. We had an awful experience there.
Gorgeous beach

Jun 24th 2023A lovely small beach with facilities as listed. Don’t waste your time driving down to the beach though-when they say limited parking they mean there’s 2 spaces for non-disabled drivers. 3 or 4 for blue badge holders. There’s a car park on a field further up though, a short trek up a very steep hill. Payment into a honesty box. Worth a clamber on the rocks to see the lovely waterfall. Pub overlooking beach. And a cabin cafe with limited offerings-fried foods, donuts, and cans. Dogs allowed on the right half of the beach although, as previously mentioned, plenty unfortunately disobeying this rule. Beach seemed popular with swimmers (recreational and the more hardcore!), paddle boarders and kayakers. Would recommend!
Clean sandy beach
