Pease Bay
Less than an hour’s drive from Edinburgh, Pease Bay has a beautiful sandy beach, flanked by sandstone cliffs and rocky outcrops. The location is stunning, and the presence of an award-winning holiday park immediately adjacent to the beach makes this a popular destination for families. The beaches exposed position also makes this a top destination for surfers.
There are a variety of walks in the area, and Pease Dean Wildlife Reserve, a short walk from the beach offers footpaths leading through ancient woodland. The reserve is home to a variety of plant and animal life including plenty of wildflowers, bats and roe deer.
The small village of Cockburnspath, a short distance from the beach has a village shop. For a wider choice of shops, eateries and pubs, Dunbar is a short drive up the coast.
