Woodstown Beach (Woodstown Strand)
Woodstown Strand is a long stretch of sandy beach backed by private woodland. The beach is located on the banks of the wide estuary carved by the Rivers Suir, Nore and Barrow making it a sheltered spot.
This also means the sand slopes very gently and when the tide is out a large flat beach is exposed.
Woodstown Beach is one of the most popular beaches in the area, particularly with families. It is a great spot for kids and is ideal for picnics.
There is plenty of good walking here; either along the beach or in the countryside beyond. The ancient Harristown passage tomb is also situated nearby.
