  • Ballyquin Beach is fairly remote and with limited parking it never gets too busy. This is no reflection on the beach itself as it is something of a gem.

Stretching for around 400 metres the beach here is comprised of a lovely fine golden sand. The water is generally calm in the summer months and the sand slopes gently making it safe for swimming. That said there are no lifeguards.

Whilst facilities are unsurprisingly pretty much non-existent there are public toilets at Ballyquin. Throw in a few rockpools and you have the makings of a great family beach.
