Ballybunion Nuns beach
This small, secluded beach is located around 15 minutes north of the popular beaches in Ballybunion. The name Nun\‘s beach comes from the Convent located on the cliffs above the cove.
Access to the beach is a little challenging and involves a scramble down a steep track with the assistance of a rope
Just around the corner from Nun\‘s beach is a blowhole known as the Nine Daughters. According to the legend, the 9 daughters of the village chief fell in love with 9 Vikings invaders. They had planned to elope but the chief threw his daughters and the Vikings into the blowhole where they drowned
