An Trá Mór Beach (Inverin)
The long, wide, sheltered sandy beach of An Trá Mhór or An Trá Mór in County Galway offers tranquility and gently sloping sands into the sea, making it popular with swimmers. The location lies in the rural Gaeltacht (Irish speaking) area of Inveran: the nearest town is An Spiddal, 4 kilometres away. The terrain is mainly sand and rock and from the beach there are stunning views over the ocean to the Burren in County Clare.
There is a lifeguard service in season and toilet and car park facilities are close by.
The beach holds a Blue Flag Award.
