New Quay - North Beach - Ceredigion

The Pier at New Quay (Ceinewydd)

The pier was designed and built in the 1830's to replace a smaller one just to the south. There was a lighthouse at the end of the pier but it was washed away in a great storm in 1859. It was subsequently rebuilt but washed away again in 1937.
