Towyn Beach (Abergele)
Towyn Beach sits just east of the seaside town of Abergele and is a considerable stretch of shingle and sand.
The beach is a popular family friendly spot and you will also find a range of typical seaside amusements for children nearby such as old fashioned funfairs and amusement arcades. If you are travelling here with pets then you also won’t be disappointed as dogs can go on the beach all year round.
The back section of the beach is made up of a bank of shingle which, when the tide is out, leads to a large sandy area perfect for making sandcastles or digging around in with a bucket and spade.
Towyn is known for its views over the water and on a clear day you can see across Colwyn Bay and even as far as the Isle of Man. You can also see across to the Great Orme which is located off Llandudno.
