Porth Trwyn Beach
The quiet beach of Porth Trwyn near Llanfaethlu is on Anglesey’s west coast a few miles north of Holyhead. There is very little in the way of development here with just a few cottages overlooking the dunes to the back of the beach.
At high tide the only remaining beach at Porth Trwyn is band of pebbles. However, as the tide drops away a good-sized expanse of sand is exposed. There are also some rocky areas on the beach which provide plenty of opportunities for rockpooling.
There aren’t much in the way of facilities at Porth Trwyn. For toilets and a shop you will need to go to the village of Llanfaethlu just under a mile away.

Nice Quiet Beach

Aug 10th 2020Dog friendly. Ideal for a quiet afternoon/morning. Good stop off on the Anglesey Coastal Path and only a 30 minute walk to Church Bay and the Wavecrest Cafe.
