Farr Bay

As the tide drops the flat sands spread out before you as well as revealing a few little rocky outcrops and rock pools. Farr Bay beach is a great place for wildlife in general with a host of species to spot including otters, eagles and seals.
Not far from Thurso, the home of Scottish surfing, it is no surprise that the waves at Farr Bay can get pretty good.
Unlike many of Scotland’s more remote beaches there is convenient car parking just a few minutes walk from the beach at Farr Bay and just of the NC500.
