Lossit Bay
This beautiful little beach lies on the west coast of Islay and is regarded by many as the finest beach on the island. A crescent of golden sand backed by dunes and nestled among rolling green hills this truly is a place of beauty.
Stunning as it is, Lossit Bay never attracts a crowd. This is largely on account of it being somewhat remote, having no obvious parking and the issue of there being a bull in the field you need to cross to get to the beach!
As far as I know all visitors to Lossit Bay have made it past the bull unscathed. Probably the biggest danger at this beach is the sea; given how exposed the beach is there are often strong waves and currents.
