Hayburn Wyke Beach
Located in the beautiful countryside of the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast, just north of Scarborough, is the little known beach of Hayburn Wyke. Here the coast path dips down through the woods to emerge next to a pair of waterfalls.
The curving bay here is made up of rocks and small boulders, so you won’t be needing your bucket and spade. The rocks and cliffs here are a good place to look for fossils with quite a few rare plant species to be found.
Hayburn Wyke is just off the popular Cleveland Way coastal walking route. The area can also be reached via the Cinder Track, a disused railway track which runs between Scarborough and Whitby.
