Old Portsmouth Beach
A shingle beach stretches all the way along the southern end of Portsea Island from Old Portsmouth to Eastney.
Old Portsmouth Beach is located in the mouth of Portsmouth harbour, close to the historic old town.
Apparently there is good fishing to be had here. Swimming less so as the currents in and out of Portsmouth Harbour can be strong. There are however, lifeguarded beaches at Southsea just along the coast.
