Vault Beach - Cornwall

A long stretch of fine shingle and sand which sites hidden to the east of Dodman Point. Although just around the corner from the popular village of Gorran Haven the beach here has a very secluded feel.
Vault beach has, however, become increasingly popular over recent years.

Access isn't particularly obvious and you can either walk around the coastpath from Gorran, which is hard work, or take the road to Lamedra. Either way it is a bit of scramble down the steep bracken and heather covered cliffs.

Whilst there is no lifeguard service at Vault the beach is generally quite safe with gently shelving sand and sheltered aspect.
