  • Claonaig is probably best known as the place you catch the ferry over to the Isle of Arran during the summer months.

    Set on the east coast of the Kintyre peninsula, Claonaig beach’s crescent of coarse sand and rocks is sheltered from the prevailing winds and swell. There isn’t a great deal here except the ferry terminal (more like a bus shelter) to one end and a river at the far end of the beach.
