Powfoot Beach is a stretch of coastline along the Solway Firth, consisting of mud flats, a salt marsh, and some sections of shingle.
From the attractive village of Powfoot there is a path along the coast taking walkers to the east, towards Annan and a shingle area of the beach. However, it can be dangerous to approach the water at low tide here, and warning signs must be observed.
The area is popular for walkers and golf enthusiasts, with Powfoot Golf Course overlooking the Firth. Facilities such as parking, a hotel, and a village shop can be found in Powfoot. There are also a number of holiday parks in the area.
