Weybourne Beach
Just to the north of the charming, archetypal English village of Weybourne is Weybourne beach. The steeply shelving pebble beach at Weybourne was said to once be the haunt of smugglers as it was easy to land large boats full of contraband here. These days you are more likely to see fishermen than smugglers.
Whilst the shingle bank may be ideal for angling it is not so good for swimming as it gets deep quickly.
This dog friendly beach is fairly easy to get to and has a good-sized car park behind the beach.

Wind in the face forget about life’s anxieties. Great way to unwind.

Dec 16th 2021Love Weybourne and the beach. How rural North Norfolk should be. No chavy sun worshipers due to the lack of sand. Wait for low tide and walk towards Sheringham for some unspoiled sand for your dog and kids to run on.

Jun 27th 2023What a brilliant beach. The strand-line especially is always fascinating, and a useful meter for what is happening environment-wise locally. The fact that the beach consists of pebbles and chalk-cliffs adds to the quality of the whole of the North Norfolk Coast. It’s a great place for the kids – they can learn so much about the ecology, and how to chill-out by getting imbued with the sight, sound, and smells, of the coastline.

The beach is stones,no sand.Local fisherman use it all the time . Portable toilets in a reasonable sized car park.Cliffs are eroding but still very pleasant for a cliff walk,though dogs are best kept on a lead for safety.No other facilities so probably not very good for children.or families.

Just pebbles no sand
Not very impressed with Weybourne ‘beach’s first thing have to pay to park, and then there are no facilities. The beach consists of all pebbles and no sand. If you just want to go and look at a piece of sea fine but there is not much else. You can walk along the crumbling cliffs but that is it, to around the coast to somewhere with sand, and certainly not a place to bring children. Totally disappointing from start to finish
