Sandwich Bay
This long, somewhat featureless, stretch of sand and pebble beach is backed by three golf courses and a private estate. This makes actually getting to the beach a little more complicated than it look on the map. The most obvious route involves a private toll road through the estate, although this is a little on the expensive side. At present it is £7 to get access by car, or you can buy a yearly pass - both come with terms and conditions of entry.
At the southern end of the beach is a steep stone section protecting the private estate.
To the back of the beach are sand dunes and the beach is bordered to the north by the River Stour. This end of the beach is a popular nudist spot, although there are reports of some friction with golf club members(!).

Waste of time and money
Tim Caswell
Aug 07th 2024Biggest waste of time and Money. £9 to park and literally nothing here. No where to get a drink or food ( well maybe the golf club but goodness knows at what price) A golf club and what looks like a disused toilet block. Great for dog walkers I guess but that’s about it
Ii couldn’t give no stars
