  • Set in a deep south-east facing bay, Ventry Strand is one of the more sheltered beaches on the Dingle peninsula. It’s also the biggest featuring an enormous 3 kilometre crescent of golden sand.

As a Blue Flag award beach you can be assured Ventry Bay has clean water and all the amenities you could need close at hand. There is also a seasonal lifeguard service which combined with the generally calm sea makes this a great beach for swimming and paddleboarding.

Just 10 minutes drive from Dingle,  Ventry is quite popular but never really gets super busy on account of its size. The beach is also on the route of the Slea Head Drive which takes in some of the peninsula’s most stunning scenery.
