Holcombe Beach (Teignmouth) Photo

Holcombe Beach (Teignmouth) - Devon

View from the train

You don't get much of a view actually, mainly sea. Between Teignmouth and Dawlish the railway is right by the sea and goes through a number of tunnels. You get half a seconds warning of the next tunnel when a piece of coastline protrudes, like this. This may or may not be the correct tunnel approach. This photo was taken from the 1158 Penzance to London Paddington train, having left Newton Abbot at 1436.
