Bournemouth: smooth looking beach on a windy day

The umpteenth windy day in a row, and sand has been blown quite fiercely along the beach and the prom, giving it a rather smooth look. In turn, it looks as if the council have come along and made the promenade passable, leaving little piles of sand dotted along the edge of the beach. Bournemouth pier can be seen in the distance.
