Burry Port Beach - East - Carmarthenshire

Shifting sands at Burry Port

The charts show that this spot is in deep water when in fact the northwest corner of this gridsquare is actually reasonably firm sand. There is a grounded red buoy in the middle distance. I came to the conclusion that this buoy denotes where the sand turns into horrible mud.
