Bosta Beach - Hebrides

Bostadh Iron Age Settlement

What an amazing sight this is, with the funnel-shaped beach, a stream meandering across it, headlands, islands, turquoise waters and a fabulous dose of history too. Well worth a visit, even the road to get there got a bit tedious. The original settlement was exposed after severe storms in 1993, and the reconstruction, using techniques available at the time, show us how the original settlers (about 500AD) would have lived.
