Abercastle Beach photo

Lime kiln, Abercastell

A single, intact lime kiln remains on the western edge of the harbour, one of two that were once here, the other lost to the sea which comes perilously close. This one is crowned with a topknot of thick vegetation; the remnants of a limeburner's hut are close by.
