This is a sand and shingle beach at the bottom of a cliff top, overlooking Cardigan Bay, and surrounded by pleasant, hilly countryside. The beach is popular for walking and boating, with excellent views from the cliff tops, and the chance of seeing marine wildlife such as seals, dolphins, or even whales out in the surf.

The Morfa Bychan Holiday Park is perched on the cliff tops directly above the beach, which is reached down a path from the Holiday Park.

The nearest large town is Aberystwyth, a few miles to the north. Here, many facilities such as shops, places to stay, and places to eat can be found as well as a railway station.
